Hiking

Palm Springs, California Hiking Trails
The Coachella Valley offers some of the best Palm Springs hiking trails and desert hiking opportunities around. More than 100 miles of well-maintained Palm Springs trails meander through the valley and canyons. The streams and hiking trails through the many Indian Canyons are among the desert's most popular attractions. Hyatt Regency Indian Wells Resort & Spa offers guest convenient access to the following locations for exceptional hiking in Palm Springs and beyond:

Joshua Tree National Park
Thirty-five miles of the California Riding and Hiking Trail passed through Joshua Tree National Park. Two to three days are required to hike the entire length of the trail, but shorter hikes of 4, 6.7, or 11 miles (6.4, 10.7, or 17.6 km) are possible. Additional information on hikes is available at park visitor centers.

Indian Canyons
The canyons and associated resources are especially sacred to the Indians today and are historically important to scientists and nature lovers. Please enjoy the free gifts of equanimity and serenity that you may take with you. While in Palm Canyon, visit the Trading Post for hiking maps, refreshments, Indian art and artifacts, books, jewelry, pottery, baskets, weavings and conversational cultural lore.

New programs and events are constantly being added for adventurous adults and kids. Be sure to check out our Saturday Junior Ranger Program as an exciting and unusual option for your children, and Spa, the area's most entertaining and expert guides, and all entry and permit fees for your Palm Spring hiking adventure.
